"Luckily I chose the right one I believe and the first time I used it was at the World Championship and that's why I stuck with it because the crowd loved it and got involved."

Aspinall also recalled being put under the spotlight when the song came on in a nightclub in his hometown of Stockport.

He said: "I got back from the World Championship and we got back on New Year's Eve and my missus wanted to go out.

So, we went to Bredbury Hall in Stockport, a big nightclub and the DJ saw me.

"Next minute he made this big announcement, 'We've got this celebrity in, a darts player who got to the semi-final', and he put the song on.

"I got ushered to the dance floor and everyone went mental."
