CRISTIANO RONALDO has thrown his weight behind Saudi Arabia's bid to host the 2034 World Cup.

The former Manchester United star, 39, joined Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr last year.

He has since promoted tourism in the Middle Eastern nation, in addition to playing for his club.

With Saudi Arabia looking to host the World Cup in 2034, Ronaldo has gotten onboard their campaign.

The veteran forward posted a promotional video for the bid to his social media accounts.

He captioned his post: "Proud to support the dreams of a nation hoping to bring a FIFA World Cup to Saudi in 2034 ????????

"We’re all #GrowingTogether!"

Ronaldo briefly features in the clip, performing his "Siu" celebration.

Featuring a female narrator, the promo flits between clips of Saudi girls playing football and boys receiving coaching, in addition to plenty of shots of the country's impressive modern architecture.

A number of football clips also feature, including Saudi Arabia's winning goal against Argentina at the 2022 World Cup and some of the Pro League's biggest stars like Neymar and Karim Benzema.

Ronaldo expressed his delight last year when Portugal were selected as a co-host for the 2030 World Cup.

Reacting to Ronaldo posting the Saudi bid's promo vid, one fan wrote: "Portugals ambassador for 2030. And Saudis for 2034.

"Racking up the retirement money."

Although a second responded: "Retirement money lol .. he's Cristiano Ronaldo mate."

A third commented: "Ambassador for Portugal 2030 and Saudi Arabia 2034, that’s my goat."

And another added: "Gunna be crazy he’s gunna be ambassador of two world cups in a row."

Away from the watching world, Ronaldo has continued to bang the goals in for his Saudi side.

He has 26 goals in 23 Pro League appearances this term, laying on a further nine assists.

Ronaldo still plays for his national team too, captaining Portugal to a 2-0 defeat to Slovenia last week.
