A JUNIOR doctor caught moonlighting at a private clinic while on NHS sick leave can go back to work.
Oxford-educated Dr Daniel Coventry, 34, was supposed to be recuperating at home at the taxpayers’ expense after allegedly falling ill.
His employers at Worthing Hospital, West Sussex, had begun a probe over the amount of time off he was taking.
He was spotted on social media offering facial fillers, thread facelifts and anti-wrinkle jabs at a Brighton cosmetic clinic between April and October 2018.
Coventry, on a £35,000-a-year NHS salary, believed himself to be a “maverick doctor”, the General Medical Council said.

He was suspended for six months last September for serious professional misconduct.

A hearing of the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service has now allowed him to return to duties.
Coventry apologised for his “arrogant” behaviour at his previous suspension hearing, when he blamed his actions on NHS failings.
The GMC wanted the ban extended.
But tribunal chairman Zeenat Islam said: “He has taken responsibility for his actions and shown a genuine willingness to reflect on and remediate his misconduct.”
