Brian Guntrip has only been playing for six months but has an eye for the treble-20.

Teacher mum Corinne has a board at home and said: “I used to play with my dad but was never any good. But Brian’s best score is 100.

“His grouping of the darts is excellent.”

Brian added: “I like getting bullseyes and treble-20s.

“I would like to be a professional darts player and love to be world champion.”

Brian Ivey has been coaching the youngster at Paignton Darts Academy, Devon, and said: “He is a cracking little player. If he keeps going, he can do well.

“We play on a lower board height-wise and a shorter oche but he gets in and around the treble-20s.

“He began around October but has been watching his parents playing darts at home since he was three.

“His heroes are Michael Smith and Stephen Bunting.

“Brian would love to be a darts player. He has great enthusiasm and comes as often as possible.”

Sensation Luke has spoken of playing darts aged four and won his first seniors title at 14.

The kebab-loving arrowsmith was just 16 when runner-up at the World Darts Championship in January.
