A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: "Officers are appealing for the public’s help to trace a man who has absconded from lawful custody in Oxford.

"Ricky Ousley, aged 24 years, had been arrested in relation to a domestic-related incident but was taken ill at Abingdon custody suite and taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

"At approximately 7.35am, the hospital discharged Ousley back into the custody of officers, when he absconded.

"Ousley is a white male, around 5ft 8ins to 5ft 9ins tall with black hair and a beard. He is known to frequent south Oxford."

Chief Superintendent Emma Garside of Thames Valley Police said: “Ousley had been taken to hospital for treatment following his arrest and upon his discharge, he made off from officers.

“Despite efforts to locate him, we have, as yet, been unsuccessful in doing so. As such, we are appealing to anybody who knows of his whereabouts to call police on 999.

“We would urge the public if you see him, do not approach him, but contact Thames Valley Police immediately.”
