A SAILOR whose Navy career was ended by an accident while dining in the captain’s cabin is seeking a £500,000 payout.
Joleen Williams, 37, was hurled across the room in her chair as frigate HMS St Albans made a turn in rough seas.
She claims she was pinned to the wall by the captain’s table, injuring her back on a cupboard.
The ship was undertaking an extended period of sea trials after an upgrade to her weapon systems and other improvements, and had been operating in "very rough" seas.
Three years later in 2017, she was still in pain and medically discharged.

Her lawyers told Central London county court the furniture should have been secured to the deck.
The MoD says a warning sounded and the table was secured and blames Ms Williams, a leading medical assistant, for failing to brace properly.
A date for a trial has yet to be set.
