Kris Jenner's younger sister Karen Houghton's official cause of death has been revealed after she tragically died earlier this week.
Officials previously attributed her death to "natural causes" leading from speculation by fans as to what caused her unexpected death, but it has now been confirmed that it was due to heart issues. According to Karen's death certificate obtained my TMZ, her sudden cause of death was due to cardiac arrest and sudden cardiac arrhythmia.
The documents also reveal that Type 2 diabetes was an underlying secondary cause of Karen's passing and that she had a history of struggling with bipolar disorder. Karen was 65 years old at the time of her passing on March 19th and has since been cremated.

When law enforcement from the department arrived, the fire crew was already providing life-saving measures for her. The next day, Kris took to social media sharing the devastating news that her "kind" and "beautiful" sibling had passed away.

Karen was three years younger than Kris and the pair were raised by their now 89-year-old mum Mary Jo Campbell in California. In a heartfelt tribute to Karen, the reality star wrote in an Instagram post: "It is with the heaviest heart and deepest sadness that I share that my sister Karen passed away yesterday unexpectedly. My heart aches for my mom MJ and my niece Natalie and I pray that God guides us all through this difficult time."

She always felt grateful and thankful for her life and treasured her family and friends and especially her beautiful daughter. Kris closed out the post describing her sister's passing as a reminder that "life is so short and precious and tomorrow is never promised." And expressed the importance of telling those around you how much you love and cherish them before it's too late. In the post, Kris shared a number of snaps alongside her family member including some adorable throwbacks to them in their youth alongside the famous Kardashian clan.
