TEXAS A&M University has announced the death of a student-athlete who called himself a game changer weeks ago in a social media post.

The football player had been a part of the Texas A&M Lions for the past two years, serving as captain on the 2023 season.

Before his death, Keith Miller III shared a post on Instagram, showing him in his Texas A&M Lions uniform.

The post showed various images of Miller walking out to the field and playing football.

"Gotta be a game changer, the world already full of players," he captioned the post.

Texas A&M revealed that Miller was found dead in his apartment.

"We are heartbroken by Keith's unexpected passing," said head coach Clint Dolezell in a statement.

"Keith was a beloved father, son, teammate, and student-athlete."

"We extend our deepest sympathies and sincere condolences to his family, friends, teammates, and all who loved him at this very difficult time."

Jim Curry, the school's Director of Athletics, described Miller's death as "sudden" and "shocking."

"Words are hard to come by at this moment, but we ask that you keep those impacted by this tragedy in your thoughts and prayers," said Curry.

Miller was the team's wide receiver.

His cause of death has not been revealed.

Friends and followers of Miller shared their thoughts on his Instagram page, flooding the comments section with their wishes.

"Rest up bro," wrote someone.

A friend of his shared a moving tribute, claiming that they'd look over Miller's son.

"I promise you ya name will forever live on and baby Luka good for life! Momma and the lil bros gon be good too!

"Ima keep goin and gettin active the way you would be if you was right here w me. Love ya soul please watch over us."

Caila Jae, Miller's girlfriend, also shared a tribute on Instagram.

"I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you," she captioned the photo, which showed her smiling alongside Miller.

"I will never love anyone the way I loved you. See you soon."

Texas A&M has expanded its counseling services to students, sharing various contacts on its website.
