Alison Hammond came out with a saucy four-word response after watching her co-star's leaked sex tape.
Funny man Joel Dommett fell prey to a 'catfishing' scam resulting in an explicit video of him being dispersed widely back in 2013. Joel, who was in his 20s at the time, thought he was engaged in Skype sex with a woman named Staci Taylor and was stealthily recorded performing a solo sex act in his home.
Understandably horrified, he discovered the video had been making the rounds online about one week prior to his I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! tenure in 2016.
Since going public, Joel has been candid about his experiences. Evidently, one of Joel's famous pals got a peek at the X-rated footage. During a recent episode of Sky's panel show Rob Beckett's Smart TV, starring on Alison Hammond's team, Joel made an appearance where his friend Rob mentioned his infamous catfish sex tape.
As they discussed Paris Hilton, Rob asked his co-stars: "What do you think about that as a route to fame?" Attempting to avoid the subject, Joel cheekily responded: "Don't look at me Rob!" To which Rob retorted: "I can't look at you in the eye after seeing that."
Inside Masked Singer host Joel Dommett’s home he shares with wife HannahHe continued: "I don't think enough people know about that actually." Joel opened up about his experience, saying: "I got catfished. And there's videos online of me doing things."
The Masked Singer presenter then shared how his colleague Alison Hammond had also seen the footage - and she didn't hesitate to drop him a message about it. "Alison was the only person who messaged me and went 'Seen it, you're amazing' he disclosed, prompting laughter from Alison, the audience, and fellow panellists.
Chatting with The Sun back in 2016, Joel detailed how the whole saga began when a good-looking woman followed him on Twitter and initiated a conversation. The individual behind the account then coaxed Joel into having Skype sex, which he consented to.
Last year, Joel explained how he turned the sex tape scandal into a strength after he was catfished and had the intimate video leaked online. Joel recounted how he was able to turn his situation around and learned that laughing about it proved to be the best solution. He also said the incident has made him something of an agony uncle to others who have been caught out by ruthless internet criminals.
Opening up to the Daily Mail, the entertainer said: “The way I see it is the more you hide, the more there is to find out. So instead of me going, ‘Oh, no, this is the worst thing that ever happened to me,’ I was like, ‘This could be a funny show.’
"I was the victim and I still get people messaging me saying, ‘This has happened to me. What should I do?’ My advice is separate yourself from it. Although you’ve been a victim you have to try to laugh it off because it doesn’t help to dwell on it.”
