Katie Price has been fined £880 after being found guilty in her absence at Northampton Magistrates’ Court of driving without a licence and without insurance.

The reality TV star, 45, was accused of driving a Range Rover on the A14 in Kettering, Northamptonshire without insurance or a valid driver's licence on August 2, 2023. Mum-of-five Katie was banned from driving in December 2021.

Katie was given a two-year driving ban after crashing her BMW near Partridge Green on September 28, 2021 and received a 16-week suspended jail sentence for drink-driving while disqualified and uninsured. The court heard that Katie had five previous driving bans following an incident near her Sussex home.

The star's appearance at Northampton Magistrates' Court comes shortly after the High Court ruled that Katie could lose half of her monthly earnings. The two-time I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! star was declared bankrupt in November 2019.

Barrister Darragh Connell, representing the trustees, told the court that Katie had agreed to settle the debts but failed to make payments. Connell informed a bankruptcy hearing judge that the previous agreement included 36 payments of £12,500, plus a lump sum.

The court was told that trustees asked for an income payments order, which means money from any salary goes towards Katie's debts. Four companies were named, including the adult-only subscription site, OnlyFans, and a photographic agency, Backgrid.

Insolvency and Companies Court Judge Catherine Burton said these four companies must "obligated to deduct 40% of the income due to be paid to Ms Price" each month for the next three years. This 40% will go into a specific bank account chosen by the trustees, Burton explained.

During her last bankruptcy hearing in September, an anxious Katie accused people of taking recordings and screenshots of the virtual proceeding with the intention of publishing the screenshots on online forums. Katie told Judge Paul Greenwood her "anxiety levels have gone up" just before the remote hearing was about to start.

Katie stated: "There are people already on here who shouldn't be on here. It's an awful site that gives me anxiety." She later added: "I'm scared to be on here because of these people on this site. They are awful about me. It's a site where they just slag everyone off. I'm petrified. They are already saying I'm going to jail on there."

Judge Greenwood warned those joining the hearing, held on Microsoft Teams, that it is against the law to screenshot or record proceedings. He decided that the hearing which was supposed to last 15 minutes and discuss the future direction of the case should be held in private, with only the parties and lawyers allowed to stay.
