SIMON Cowell has opened up about the agony of having migraines after having lights in his eyes all day while filming.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge said he wears red glasses to “filter” out the laser-like beams and prevent unbearable headaches.

He said the unusual fashion choice helps reduce the symptoms — but he doesn’t expect anyone to be copying him anytime soon.
Simon, 64, told The Sun: “The red glasses are because I have lights in my eyes all day long and it’s like a laser and I get migraines and that’s like a filter.
“And they actually do work.”

Asked if he might set a trend with the eyewear, he said: “I don’t think anyone has ever copied my fashion.”
More than 5.6million people in England suffer migraines, with around 190,000 attacks experienced every day.
Migraines can cause head pain, nausea, vomiting, vision issues, tiredness and sensitivity to light, sound and smells.
It is not known what causes the condition but people are more likely to get them if they have a close family member who also suffers from them.
Triggers can include starting your period, anxiety and depression, stress and tiredness, skipping meals, too much caffeine and not exercising enough.
Treatments include drugs that are used for treating other conditions, such as beta-blockers, antidepressants and epilepsy medications.
A pill called atogepant was also greenlit on the NHS last week, with around 170,000 Brits set to benefit.
Research also shows some people with photophobia — sensitivity to light — may benefit from migraine glasses, which can cost as little as £20.
A study, published in the Journal of Clinical Neuroscience, showed “lenses outfitted with a thin-film optical notch filter may be useful in treating chronic migraine”.
Simon may wear the glasses on the latest season of Britain’s Got Talent, which is set to premier on ITV this Saturday.

The show is into it’s 17th year and he will be joined by fellow judges Bruno Tonioli, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden.
