BOOKIES are once again fearing 'multiple mayhem' at the hands of the unstoppable Willie Mullins.

The all-conquering trainer is throwing the kitchen sink at landing the British champion trainers' title starting this weekend at Ayr for the Scottish Grand National.

But his Cheltenham Festival winners will be back in action at the Punchestown Festival later this month.

And already a whole host of them are heavy odds-on to win - but still worth backing in a multiple.

At the time of writing you can back Galopin Des Champs, Gaelic Warrior, State Man, Lossiemouth and Ballyburn all to win at 5.72-1 with Paddy Power.

All five of those horses won at Cheltenham and, in truth, never looked like coming close to losing.

All five of those horses are odds-on and look fully set to run at the season-ending bonanza in Ireland, which begins on Tuesday, April 30.

One word of warning though - the above odds are for Ballyburn in the 2m3f race, two furlongs shorter than the Ballymore trip.

So with it being Mullins, there is always the chance he could drop him down the 2m Champion Hurdle KPMG Champion Novice Hurdle earlier in the week instead.

But those are the risks you take ante-post, so if you're unsure wait until the day.

The potential for punters to pile into these multiples is already giving Paddy Power's traders huge cause for concern.

Spokesman Paul Binfield said: "Punchestown may have a slightly more relaxed atmosphere than Cheltenham, but when it comes to Carlow conjuror Willie Mullins's combatants, there's no avoiding the onslaught again.

"Gold Cup hero Galopin Des Champs, Ballyburn, State Man, Gaelic Warrior and Lossiemouth is like a who's who of equine talent.

"And while one or two of these shorties scoring will land a heavy body blow, it won't be a clean knockout, whereas the multiple mayhem of the accas causes many a sleepless night among the traders at Power Tower."

Mullins will run six in Scottish Grand National as he takes the title fight to Paul Nicholls and Dan Skelton.

And he is looking to make it back-to-back Nationals having landed the Aintree race with I Am Maximus last weekend.

The JP McManus-owned eight-year-old went on his victory parade the other night - and provided one scary moment when he briefly lost control.
