One woman has taken 'the sky is the limit' to a new level after travelling thousands of miles for a first date.
Kayleigh Castle who flew more than 5,000 miles and just over 11 hours for a first meet - which sadly ended up being a total flop.
She decided to fly from London to San Fransisco to meet up with a man she'd met while on holiday in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, after the pair had a brief holiday romance.
However, it didn't quite go to plan and she says her date bizarrely wanted to stay in the car on his phone rather than go sightseeing with her on the trip.

The pair went sightseeing, wine tasting and walking, but it was after the seventh day of her trip she realised he wasn't the one.

Kayleigh, a life coach from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire said: "I always say a man invests in what he values. If he is going to invest money into me he values me. He booked my flights, asked what I wanted to do - we went wine tasting, we went on a nice coastal drive - and then I came back home, and added: "We're still in touch and we had a lot of fun but we have decided to be friends."
She met the man on a three-month work trip in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and he had approached her in a bar. Kayleigh recalled: "He came up to me in the bar, sat next to me and then asked me out for a date. We went out a few times in Mexico and then he went back home to California. We continued to message back and forth and planned to see each other again."

The flight was just over 11 hours (Kayleigh Castle / SWNS)It was then he proposed the idea of her visiting him on a 10-day trip to California. "He booked my flights and asked what I wanted to do. I said I wanted to go Carmel-by-the-Sea and on a coastal road trip." Once she landed, they went on a road trip, wine tasting, visited visited Yosemite National Park, and some coastal towns in California.
"We did a coastal road trip from San Francisco to a place called Half Moon Bay which was absolutely stunning. We then went more inland to Yosemite National Park." However, this was when Kayleigh started to realise they weren't compatible. She said: "I love walking but he wanted to stay in the car on his phone.
"For me, I love waking - that is my quality time - but he was working and going to the bar. We have decided just to stay friends, dating is evaluating, it is over time you get to know everyone."
Despite the dating fail, Kayleigh isn't ready to throw the towel in just yet as she's got a trip planned for later in the year with another man she met while in Mexico who is taking her travelling around Europe. You can watch Kayleigh's dating diaries on TikTok at @dailykayleighshow.
