ITV bosses are making a huge change in time for the next series, after realising that local "lairy" nightlife on the canal outside disrupts filming.
Although further series of the reboot have yet to be confirmed, of either the regular or celebrity shows, producers have started making plans to move the location from North West London to somewhere a bit more peaceful. After the most recent series, which saw reality TV star David Potts crowned the winner of the BB reboot, bosses allegedly realised they'd made a mistake when they built the set at Garden Studios, in the London Borough of Brent.
The latest series of Celebrity Big Brother was the first in six years (ITV)"During filming of the most recent series', they found that quite a few barge and boat users on the canal were pulling up and being quite lairy which disrupted filming. Of all the issues to arise, this was not on their radar," a TV insider, told The Sun.
The producers had expected the waterway next to the studios would be a "bonus", with the vision of contestants being brought up to the BB house entrance via boat like "James Bond movies". The source added: "But then they found out it wasn’t a river but a canal with a maximum speed limit of 4mph so the idea was abandoned."
While it's not been publicly confirmed that ITV will be commissioning more series, casting calls have already been put out for contestants.

And it wasn't just the location that producers need to work on in time for any future series of Big Brother, with fans complaining just minutes into the first episode of the most recent series.
Taking to X to air their opinions, viewers were quick to find fault. One wrote: "I love BB/CBB, but this production is atrocious and very amateurish. Bring back Emma and Rylan! These two are not BB #CBBUK," whilst a second added: "I still don’t feel right watching without seeing Emma Willis #CBBUK." A third shared: "I wish you were involved Rylan #CBBUK."
Before the new series started, presenters Will Best and AJ Odudu shared their excitement about being involved with the iconic show. Will said: "I couldn’t be more excited! Some of the most iconic moments from Big Brother throughout the years have come from the Celebrity Big Brother series. When people think of Big Brother nowadays they often think of the GC, they think of ‘David’s dead!’ These were all given to us by celebs."
While AJ added at the time: "I'm so excited! Off the back of the success of the civilian show, it’s amazing that we get to host the celebrity series. It’s created such iconic moments in the past - we can’t wait for the 2024 edition!"
The pair were also thrilled to be part of a live show, with AJ explaining: "There’s an energy you get from live TV that can’t be translated, all of the nervous energy from every single celebrity that steps out the car will be captured and seen. Any awkward moments - if anyone stumbles and trips over their dress, we will see it! There’s an edge. Anything can happen! Bring it on!"
