A former US Air Force officer has warned that Russia could face devastating consequences if it were to use a nuclear weapon against a NATO country.

Jake Broe, who used to work in Nuclear and Missile Operations, shared a chilling video on social media platform X, showing how NATO could target cities across Russia. He said: "If Russia uses a nuclear weapon against a NATO country, then this is what will happen to Russia in response. About 45 million Russians will be vaporised in the first hour. Not much of a life remaining for the other 100 million."

He also suggested that the people of Russia should stop supporting Putin and de-escalate the conflict. The video was made by Modern Muscle on Youtube. The video shows NATO missiles falling on southern Russia near Rostov-on-Don.

Then, the attacks go north up to the border with Ukraine and reach St Petersburg, where Putin is from, reports the Express. Lots of missiles hit Moscow and cities close by. After that, the strikes go east to large areas like Kazan and Yekaterinburg. In the end, the NATO attack hits far-east cities like Vladivostok and Khabarovsk.

This week, Putin told the US not to send soldiers to Ukraine. He said: "Apart from (US President Joe) Biden, there are enough other experts in the sphere of Russian-American relations and strategic restraint. So I don't think that everything is going to go head-on here, but we are ready for it.

"They are now setting tasks to increase this modernity, innovation, they have a corresponding plan. We know about it too. They are developing all their components. So are we. Weapons exist in order to use them. We have our own principles."

Putin also put nuclear weapons in Belarus, which is closer to countries in NATO. Last month, Dmitry Medvedev, who is friends with Putin and used to be the President of Russia, said Moscow might use nuclear bombs on London because the UK helps Ukraine.

He warned: "Attempts to return Russia to the borders of 1991 will lead to only one thing. Towards a global war with Western countries using the entire strategic arsenal of our state. In Kyiv, Berlin, London, Washington."
