Tina O'Brien has shared her pride of teenage daughter Scarlett after she showed off her terrific singing voice in front of hundreds of shoppers, who watched on in awe.

The 40-year-old Coronation Street star shared a video of Scarlett, 15, performing Lady Gaga's Shallow at Manchester Arndale, with hopes that the teen would be making a TV appearance on Channel 4's The Piano, which is hosted by Claudia Winkleman.

Scarlett is the daughter of Tina's relationship with fellow soap actor and Dancing On Ice star Ryan Thomas, and she was accompanied on the grand piano by Danny Wilder. In the video, it shows there are two floors of shoppers who are stood in silence as they are captivated by the teenager's performance. Tina, who is filming her daughter, then pans around to a huge billboard which show's the titles for The Piano.

If Scarlett is chosen to feature on the Channel 4 show, it won't be the first time that she has been on television as has already made her acting debut alongside her real-life uncle Adam Thomas on BBC drama Waterloo Road. The Piano is set to return later this month and it features gifted pianists performing at shopping centres and train stations, bringing people to a standstill when they hear the music. In the first series, singer Mika and performer Lang Lang were with a film crew, watching the piano performances from a secret location.

Scarlett and Tina were then joined by Scott Thomas, Love Island star Molly Smith, Hollyoaks actress Jorgie Porter and Celebrity Big Brother winner David Potts in trying to play a huge floor piano, with their feet. The instrument was seven-metres long and they were also joined by The Traitors ' Jaz Singh and reality star, Christine McGuinness.

This moment of joy came after Tina was cleared of all blame as police concluded that the actress was "acting in self-defence" when teen girls brutally fought outside of her Stockport, Greater Manchester, home. A source said: "Police have concluded Tina acted in self-defence and hasn’t done anything wrong. Her version has always been she was defending her home and her family, and that appears to have been accepted."

"Tina is also tiny and not an aggressive person so is not the kind to be fighting in the street usually. These girls came to her road and to her house, and that’s the only reason she got involved. She thinks they were looking for trouble and — although it was not a good look — in a way she did the right thing," they added to The Sun.
