Jon Bon Jovi is putting his health in God's hands after undergoing a major vocal chord surgery.
The rocker has been busy promoting the new docuseries Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story and has spoken about his road to recovery following the operation admitting that it "sucks." He also claimed that he believes his healing is now down to God as he discussed his progress.
He said: "It sucks, but, if I put it into comparison to athletes, and when Kobe and the achilles, or Michael Strahan and the pec, Tom Brady with the knee, Tiger Woods preparing for yet another Masters. It doesn't get any easier for any of those guys."

He continued to Fox News Digital: "And I know their work ethic and mine are very similar. No one anticipates injury like that. And it's up to God to fix it or not, but I'm certainly right next to the Lord himself working on it."

It comes after the singer admitted he even turned to “voodoo” and all sorts of experimental medicines and methods to fix his voice in a bid to avoid surgery. The singer is still in recovery after going under the knife having taken the drastic step of vocal cord surgery almost two years ago.
But in good news for fans, he has told how the band is back rehearsing to test his voice with a view to going back on the road. He told the Smartless podcast that now, almost two years on after the op, he "would say I’m 90 per cent there and you’ve still got to get the ghosts out of the machine - the one’s in your head."

Jon, 62, revealed: “The guy that I found in Philadelphia, the greatest thing he said after I exhausted everything, every bit of what I call 'voodoo.' Every Eastern medicine, every laser, every diet, singing lessons - everything that I could. And I did 15 shows and it just was not working.
“And I went to see him and I said, ‘I can give you 100 per cent of 80 per cent.’ He said, ‘Is that good enough?’ I said, ‘No.’ He said, ‘Now we can talk about this surgery.’ And he said, ‘And I guarantee you nothing, but if you work hard this will give you your best shot.’" The frontman said he is still in rehab for his pipes and is holding out hope of going back on the road again - and even has his eye on a dream slot at Glastonbury.
