Spice Girls fans have spotted a tell-tale sign the band's reunion over the weekend wasn't as wholesome as it seemed - with some suspecting things are tense between Geri Halliwell Horner and Melanie Brown.
Victoria Beckham marked turning 50 in style on Saturday night, as Posh Spice was joined by her former bandmates Geri, Mel B, Melanie Chisholm and Emma Bunton as she partied up a storm at Oswald's in London - with David Beckham on hand to capture all five Spice Girls dancing to some of their biggest hit songs.
But despite the clips of Posh and co busting a move to Stop and Wannabe on the dancefloor, it seems it's not all with sweetness and light in Spice World, with it now reported that Geri "kept as far away from Mel B as possible" thanks to Mel's recent comments about her Ginger Spice bandmate.
Speaking to Olivia Attwood earlier this year, Mel joked about Geri's age, admitting she's not 100% certain if the mum-of-two, 51, was actually born in 1972. Spilling the beans on the So Wrong It's Right podcast, Mel quipped: "No, well no one knows how old Geri is. No one's seen her passport. I mean, I know we've travelled the world, but I still don't know how old she is."
Mel may have only been teasing but it seems her jokey comments didn't go down too well with Geri and the pair kept a distance from each other at Victoria's birthday bash. "Mel tried to smooth things over with Geri at the party but it didn't go as planned," a source has claimed. "She was laughing it all off but Geri didn't seem interested in hearing what she had to say and wandered off."

"Geri wanted to be there to celebrate and have a good laugh with everyone, not talk to Mel about the embarrassing things she's said about her." The Mirror has approached representatives for Geri for comment. Representatives for Mel had no comment.
In footage captured by David, Geri and Mel were at opposite ends of the Spice Girls line-up as the five women danced to their 1997 hit single Stop at Victoria's birthday party on Saturday night. In an image shared by Victoria on Instagram, Geri and Mel remain at opposite ends, with Mel appearing to distance herself from Ginger, Sporty, Posh and Baby in the Spice Girls reunion snap.
"This photo is so awkward to look at," one Spice Girls fan said on Twitter (X) when discussing Victoria's upload, with another adding: "That body language is loud." A third quipped: "geri and mel b having an unspoken rule to always stand as far as possible always sends me."
