Fatherhood has been full of intense ups and puzzling downs for Peter Andre, weeks after the birth of his fifth child, the third from his marriage with Dr Emily MacDonagh.
The bundle of joy was born on April 2, 2024, at Musgrove hospital in Taunton and weighed 7lb 3oz, as explained by the Mysterious Girl singer himself during an exclusive chat with The Mirror. Positively overwhelmed, the 51-year-old couldn't wait to share photos of the tot, adding that "Mum and daughter are doing amazing."
Soon enough, Peter and Emily's loved ones rushed to their side to celebrate the arrival of their new baby, with his eldest children from his marriage with Katie Price, Princess, 16, and Junior, 18, giving their half-sister a warm welcome of their own. Meanwhile, it was also time for Emily and Peter's first two children, Millie, 10, and Theo, 8, to make some room for the baby.
Peter is no stranger to fatherhood as the doting dad of five children in total and, once again, he has had to face some sleepless nights to take of his new baby. Two weeks after the birth, the star confessed he was sleep-deprived: "It’s been great that the kids have been off school for the holidays so we can spend time together as a family. While we work a name out, we’re just trying to differentiate between day and night. The lack of sleep is real already."

But with sleepless nights becoming the norm and as Emily recovers from the birth, the pair are also struggling to agree on a name for their bundle of joy (Peter Andre/Instagram)The London star only managed to get his "first decent sleep since baby's been born" several days after his initial confession, as he announced on Instagram, while sporting a black dressing gown and a pair of slippers. But an obstacle still remains ahead for Peter and Emily, with their baby daughter taking centre stage in a long and ongoing discord. Weeks prior to the birth of their daughter, Peter admitted they were struggling to agree on a name.

Speaking candidly about the difficulty of naming a baby on social media, Peter even asked his fans for help. His choice appeared to be made when he claimed the new-born's name could be inspired by A-list actor Keanu Reeves, if he was to welcome a boy. But he has since been brought back to square one with the birth of a girl.
Unable to make up his mind, Peter even confessed the tot could go weeks without a name, much like her older sister Millie who was called Rose for the first six weeks of her life. And the struggle is ongoing - responding to a fan's query about the baby's name in mid-April, Peter said: "Still no name. Literally struggling. She doesn't look like anyone [of] the names we have thought of."
Days later, Peter seemed to throw in the towel after weeks of indecision when writing his column for OK! Magazine, as he left the decision-making to his wife. "We’ve been trying out names that our friends and family have suggested, but then Emily and I don’t seem to agree on them. So I think it’s only fair that Emily decides – I hope she picks a good one."
Unfortunately, Emily's recovery from the physical trauma of giving birth has "slowed down the process", and despite a deadline on the horizon, as the couple have "less than four weeks left" before they have to register the baby's birth, Peter has defended his "tired" wife.
"We are still no closer to a name for our newest bundle of joy. Any time Emily and I talk about it, it just gets put aside. Since Emily and I agreed for her to be the one to choose, it seems to have slowed down the process even more", he said on April 23. "She is recovering after all, so I totally get it."
In the meantime, as they wait for inspiration to strike, Emily and Peter have chosen a nickname for their precious bundle, "Bubba", and fans have since made a plethora of suggestions to help the couple make a choice before it's too late. One of Peter's fans notably commented online: "How about Bianca, Petra Emily Andre girl verus of Peter, or Petunia Rose Andre." Since then, Peter has revealed that Charlie, a shortened "Charlotte", and Athena were both in the running...
