Fern Britton is currently embroiled in some famous feuds both inside the Celebrity Big Brother house and on the outside world, as Kerry Katona now joins Denise Welch in throwing some shade the former This Morning presenter's way.
Denise has been taking seemingly cryptic swipes at Fern on social media over recent days, liking negative tweets about the TV presenter and doing nothing to shut down claims her savage tweets have been aimed at Fern. Denise and Fern both shared a stage when they appeared in Calender Girls The Musical in 2018, but it's not yet known how or why the pair fell out.
However, Kerry's reasoning for taking a sarcastic shot at Fern on social media is slightly easier to understand. Taking to Instagram this morning, the mum-of-five reacted to the latest episode of Celebrity Big Brother, which saw Fern bizarrely clash with Strictly Come Dancing star Nikita Kuzmin over age and a misplaced fashion compliment.
After watching the scenes, Kerry shared a video on her Instagram page and asked her followers: "Is Fern a little bit drunk? I think Fern has had one too many in the house and is drunk." Seemingly referencing her 2008 interview with Fern, Kerry then asked: "Fern, are you an alcoholic or is it your medication?"

But at the time, Fern questioned whether Kerry's shaky speech was due to alcoholism.

Kerry captioned her latest Instagram video: "@bbuk @itvxofficial it must be her medication! so much respect for @nikita__kuzmin for holding his own. obviously, Fern is not an alcoholic. I’m completely taking the piss and being ironic sense the sarcasm people." The star has now limited the ability to comment on her video.
Speaking in an interview last year, Kerry recalled how she couldn't understand the reaction to her infamous interview with Fern and Phil at the time, saying: "After my This Morning interview you thought I'd killed somebody and I'm just like I don't understand what it is I've done so wrong?"

Get Me Out of Here! star went on to add on Slingo's Getting Lippy Gossip Show in August: "I've had speech therapy and I've got a lazy tongue and with my ADHD and way I talk sometimes I don't pronounce the words properly. Then you put in the medication I was on and your speech is slurred and it's like 'oh she's this, she's that'."
Earlier the same year, in the wake of Schofield quitting This Morning and exiting ITV after admitting to an "unwise but not illegal" affair with a showrunner, Kerry admitted she developed PTSD from her interview with the former This Morning presenter over a decade ago.
In the 2008 interview, Schofield asked guest Kerry: "Your speech is a bit slurred, how are you feeling right now? Our phone is already going off up in the gallery from people asking ‘Is she ok?’." Recalling the interview just weeks on from Schofield's downfall hitting the headlines, Kerry told The Sun: "I'm not jumping on the bandwagon or putting Phillip down. What he's done, it is wrong, and I know there's a lot more to come, but for me, it's the overall care with people, the snobbery at ITV." She added: "I've definitely got PTSD from that interview, 100%, because of the fallout, the aftermath of it. You'd think I'd killed somebody!"
