James Argent has revealed a dark secret he has been keeping from his family.
The former The Only Way Is Essex star, 36, lost a bet during a wild night out in Majorca. He has been embracing a life of sobriety and admitted he is now considered to be the "most boring" of his friends. However, James has since revealed a moment of madness from his trip abroad.
"No one's ever noticed it or spotted it, but this is the wildest thing I've probably done in the last few years," he shared. "I was having a right laugh with a group of people on a night out in Majorca, and we were all talking about tattoos. And then, there was a bit of a dare and a bet. I can't really go into too much detail but I lost."
Speaking on the My Dirty Laundry podcast, James added: "I had always promised myself I would never get one because I am not a tattoo person. But I lost the dare and the bet and I had to, you know, I went and got myself a little tattoo when I was in Majorca." The reality star then showed off his wrist, which is now inked with a small treble clef.
"It's only a little one, you can barely see it, it's like a music note. That's as wild as it gets," he confessed. "It wasn't too painful, it wasn't too bad, but it was funny. It gives me a great memory after the gig in Majorca so it's something I'll be able to laugh about. I wouldn't have anymore though. I'm quite happy with this one actually, because I think it's quite cool, well it's quite me. Maybe I might have something similar on the opposite wrist. I don't know."
Amy Childs prepared to get cruelly mum-shamed after big decision about her twinsIn recent years, James has turned to his music career as he tours with The Arg Band. He has been struggling of late following his split from girlfriend Stella Turian, 19, back in November after a year of dating. The split was said to be "heartbreaking" for Arg, who had been with the law student since the previous September.
He found Valentine's Day difficult as he admitted: "I remember, I woke up and thought, I am not going to look at social media. It's not that I'm heartbroken or upset, but just because I knew it's not going to make me feel great because I didn't have a Valentine, I don't have a girlfriend."
James said to My Dirty Laundry podcast host Rebecca Davison: "But, I couldn't help it. There was times where I'd just have a little glance and all you would see was couples. Everyone's madly in love. Everyone's happy. Everyone's out on dates. There's flowers, there's balloons, there's chocolates, there's date nights or trips or happily married couples - and yeah, it did start to affect me a little bit. But I went to bed that night, had a good night's sleep and then the next day I was fine. I was happy again, I was fine."
