MEL B has exposed which of the Spice Girls was a secret smoker as she opens up about their old dressing room cig breaks.
Scary Spice, as Mel is known, reveals all during an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show later this week.
Mel, 48, will appear on The Jonathan Ross Show on Saturday night to celebrate the band’s 30th anniversary.
They will be joined by a number of other stars, including Leo Reich, Paul Rudd and Billie Piper.
Speaking to Mel, host Jonathan, 63, asks Mel if she and her fellow band members Emma Bunton, Mel C, Geri Halliwell-Horner and Victoria Beckham have any plans to commemorate the momentous milestone.

Mel says: “We are wanting to do something and we are, but I can’t really tell you because I’ll get kicked out of the WhatsApp group again, so I have to be really careful.”
Elaborating on why she gets kicked out of the bands WhatsApp group, Mel responds: “I get kicked out of the group because I get so excited whenever I talk about Spice Girls and the more I say something’s going to happen, I will it that much that it does happen like the Olympics and the 2019 tour.”
But she still teased, “We are all in talks, something is going to be announced.”
While she’s keeping quiet about the future, Mel is more than happy to share some secrets from days past in the meantime.
Mel reveals which Spice Girls were smokers
Having collectively climbed the charts and risen to pop stardom at a similar time to fellow guest Billie Piper, Mel and Billie reminisce on time spent together whilst recording Top of the Pops, leading to Mel to reveal which of the Spice Girls were smokers.
Billie, 41, says: “I was such a huge fan, so imagine being 15 in a dressing room with The Spice Girls, I used to smoke cigarettes with you guys in the dressing room, you’d give me fags.”
Mel interjects: “That would have been me and Emma,” as Billie goes on to add: “Yeah, it was you and Emma and we would sit on the floor at Top of the Pops smoking cigarettes and ashing in a plastic cup, it was heaven.”
Mel opens up about her engagement
Alongside revealing that she used to smoke in the dressing room with Baby Spice Emma Bunton, Mel speaks to Jonathan about her engagement to fiancé Rory.
“He is so lovely, and he’s made me believe that there are good people out there. He’s made me believe in love again and I just feel so safe with him. He’s adorable,” Mel gushed.
Explaining how they met, Mel tells Jonathan: “He’s a family friend, so I already had that built in trust but he’s a hairdresser and when I came back to Leeds, my hair was fried so he would come over and give me hair treatments. He nurtured my curls back to Scary Spice vibes, which is my natural hair, and then he nurtured me back into trusting somebody again because I’d been in a ten year abusive marriage.”

Opening up about her previous relationship which led her to writing a book titled Brutally Honest, Mel says the book enabled her to: “Be more honest and open, hence I got my MBE for all the work that I do with Women’s Aid.”
It appears Mel’s MBE also grants her special access to St Paul’s Cathedral as Jonathan explains: “One of the things about someone having an MBE is that you’re allowed to get married in St Paul’s Cathedral.”
Jonathan asks Mel: “Now that you’re engaged, is that the plan, will you get married in St Pauls?” Mel says: “Yes. It’s a whole process you have to go through because I’ve been married and divorced twice before, so you get assessed and have to explain why you want to get married in that church.”
And Mel says the Spice Girls will be involved in her special day, perhaps helping out with her elaborate wedding plans.
“I have got a few hidden surprises from my girls that’s going to happen on the day, so yes, they are involved,” she teases.
Jonathan also asks if Victoria Beckham might potentially design her wedding dress, to which Mel says: “Yeah but hopefully I won’t have to pay Victoria because she’s expensive but it’s very good stuff.”
