Anthony Elanga could leave Manchester United on deadline day, with Barcelona and Everton amongst those in the race to sign the talented winger.

The 20-year-old has struggled for regular minutes under Erik ten Hag this season and may be allowed to depart Old Trafford, with Marcus Rashford, Antony and Alejandro Garnacho above him in the pecking order. A loan move for Elanga has been suggested to further develop his game after his breakthrough 2021/22 campaign.

Having made 27 appearances for United last term, Elanga cemented the left-wing spot as his own with Jadon Sancho on the right and Cristiano Ronaldo through the middle. But Ten Hag has completely torn up that idea in favour of a front three of Rashford, Antony and January arrival Wout Weghorst.

According to ESPN, Barcelona, Everton, PSV Eindhoven and Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing Elanga, whether that be on loan or in a permanent deal. The logical move would be for the Sweden international to depart temporarily and gain first-team game time elsewhere, either in the Premier League or in a new country.

Barca are debating whether to bring in another attacking option following Memphis Depay's move to Atletico Madrid and with Ousmane Dembele sidelined for around five weeks with an injury. Xavi's men could also decide to bring in a central midfielder to provide cover for Sergio Busquets, but should they make a move for a forward, Elanga is reportedly at the top of their list.

Meanwhile, new Everton boss Sean Dyche is expected to prioritise signing forwards on deadline day as he tries to beef up his attacking department after Anthony Gordon joined Newcastle. The Toffees lack strength in depth across the front line, with Demarai Gray, Dwight McNeil, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Neal Maupay struggling for form.

PSV are keen to add another winger to their ranks following Noni Madueke's move to Chelsea and Cody Gakpo's switch to Liverpool and believe Elanga would suit their style and profile. The Dutch giants are in the midst of an Eredivisie title race and experience of winning under pressure could suit Elanga's needs.

Dortmund are the final club registered with an interest in the youngster, having previously thought about attempting to pursue a loan deal. But he may find it hard to force his way into their XI, with Karim Adeyemi in red hot form and Sebastian Haller impressing after returning from testicular cancer.

It wouldn't be a surprise if United do not sanction Elanga's exit, however, given how many fixtures they have got to play between now and the end of the season. The Red Devils are the only English top-flight side to be in four different competitions and may need a player of his quality to come in.
