THE Railway Children star Sally Thomsett claims a Bargain Hunt auctioneer has sold her film keepsakes without her consent.

Sally, 74, said movie and TV programme scripts, fan letters and royal premiere tickets were flogged.

The collectibles were sold by Nesbits Antiques Auctions in Southsea, Hants — a firm managed by John Cameron, who has appeared on BBC One’s Bargain Hunt and Cash in the Attic.

One lot included scripts from The Railway Children as well as other TV shows, publicity photos of Sally and her personal diary, and sold for £900 on April 17.

Sally, who played Phyllis in the 1970 family favourite alongside Jenny Agutter, said: “No one attempted to contact me with regards to this sale and I am devastated as it is a large part of my history that cannot be replaced.

"As far as I knew they were in a suitcase of memorabilia and memories of my career. Obviously I don’t check its contents regularly.”

Sally, who was also in 1971 cult movie Straw Dogs and played Jo in 1970s sitcom Man About The House, has threatened to report the “theft” to police.

But Nesbits “entirely refutes” allegations of wrong-doing over the sale.

It said the items were from a house owned by one of Sally’s ex-husbands, which the seller of the goods bought in 1978.

Auctioneer John said: “We have no reason to dispute that.

“We are currently considering the matter with the assistance of legal advisers given the open accusations made against our firm and against me personally.”
