The Royal Family continued to put on a brave front as normal in the days leading up to the Princess of Wales announcing she has cancer.
Today, Princess Kate, 42, told the world she is undergoing preventative chemotherapy after cancer was found following her major abdominal surgery in January. During his wife's treatment, Prince William has continued to carry out public duties. He has only missed out on one major event - the memorial service to Greece's King Constantine II in Windsor three weeks ago.
On Tuesday, the Prince of Wales visited Sheffield to continue to work on ending homelessness in Britain in the next five years.
