Fern Britton says she will never remarry following her sad split from ex-husband Phil Vickery.
The ex This Morning presenter, 66, has spoken candidly about her life and chances of finding romance again after finishing in fifth place at the Celebrity Big Brother final on Friday night. Fern has been single since her split with Phil in 2020.
The TV star and celebrity chef, 62, met whilst working on the set of Ready Steady Cook and shocked fans when they announced their separation after 20 years together Since leaving the Celebrity Big Brother house, Fern gave her fans an insight into her life post-divorce and admitted she has no hope of tying the knot again - as she wouldn't want to give up her "freedom."
However, Fern went on to reveal she would be open to dating again but only if the right person came along. "I don't want to live with anyone – and I don't want to get married again," she told The Daily Mail. "I'm a very independent person and the older I get the more I realise I like freedom."
She added: "If someone incredible came along who could put up with me, I'd say yes. It would be the icing on the cake really. But I don't want to have to be cooking and cleaning and taking care of anybody. Separate houses would do me nicely."

Sharing a statement about their divorce at the time, she said: "After more than 20 happy years together, Phil and I have decided to go our separate ways. We will always share a great friendship and our lovely children."
She later revealed that it was a long time coming. She confessed they 'grew apart' during the final years of their relationship. She told Good Morning Britain in 2020: "My mum died and my father died and unfortunately Phil and I fell apart."
During a scene on Celebrity Big Brother, Fern spoke about slowing down in her career and finding the opportunity to meet new people. She confessed to pal Louis Walsh: "I'm ready to slow down, like you, I've been working solidly since I was 20," Fern, 66, confessed to Louis, who agreed and said: "You realise what life is, and realise, 'Why haven't I done this before? Why didn't I go there? Why didn't I do that?'" Fern, if you pick the right person you'll have great fun, you might fall in love." However, Fern replied: "I don't want to fall in love again…" Fern was eliminated in fifth place on Friday night, having lost out to eventual winner David Potts during the anticipated live final.
