Lego has delighted fans as it revealed it will release a new collaboration with Animal Crossing. Animal Crossing's musical pooch KK Slider will take centre stage as a new set of Lego builds is released this summer, including a new town hall set which also features an RV and a small café stand. There are also other sets with a landing jetty and lookout tower of Dodo Airlines.

KK Slider isn't the only Animal Crossing character coming out in Lego form either, as the brand look to release Isabelle, Audie, Wilbur and Tangy minifigurines in the forthcoming sets which will retail from August.

A third wrote: "these are absolutely adorable! i hope more sets plan to release in the future."

Others have called for more Animal Crossing characters as one Lego fan begged: "OH MY GOD BREWSTER NEXT PLEASE" and another posted: "I know it's a bit of a far shot, but I will lose my mind if I can get a LEGO Kabuki minifig. Kabuki is my favorite Animal Crossing neighbor." A third had their sights set on other characters as they left a hopeful reply: "Still hoping Merengue, Judy, Cookie, Peanut, Marina, Diana, Flurry, and Celeste get Minifigures T~T."

Lego has yet to reveal the pricing for the new sets, but fans appear happy to snap them up already. Lego also used their teaser social media post and an accompanying trailer showing the sets, which features KK Slider, to make a tongue-in-cheek joke as they shared a warning message: "Lego KK Slider minifigure doesn't actually sing or move."

The cheeky joke has had Lego fans laughing, as some pointed out the joke on social media. One person wrote: "“LEGO K.K. Minifigure doesn’t actually sing or move”, which prompted a response from the official account as it joked back: "*nervous laughter*". Another person joined in the fun as they tweeted: "“LEGO K.K. minifigure doesn’t actually sing or move” oh thank god I was afraid he’d treat me to a damn steak dinner too."
