Jet2 and easyJet passengers using wheeled suitcases have been warned to double check their luggage before flying.
Each airline has its own rules for carry-on luggage, so it's important to check the baggage limits on your booking before you pack. Breaking these rules could lead to an unexpected charge at the airport of up to £48, depending on the airline.
Both Jet2 and easyJet's hand luggage policies mention suitcases with wheels specifically. Bags that don't meet the requirements will need to be checked into the hold for an extra fee. While you may think you can get away with bring a bag that is slightly too big, some airlines have a reputation of strictly enforcing the rules. Last year a passenger was spotted furiously smashing up his suitcase at Edinburgh Airport in a bid to fit it into the measuring rack.
Both airlines state that these measurements must include any wheels and handles. So, passengers using wheeled cases will have less packing room and should make sure their bags are the right size, reports Birmingham Live.
EasyJet allows all travellers to bring a small cabin bag of up to 45 x 36 x 20cm on board as standard. Jet2's limit is slightly larger at 56 x 45 x 25cm. Jet2's rules state: "You may carry on board one piece of hand luggage free of charge, as long as it weighs no more than 10kg and is no larger than 56cm x 45cm x 25cm, including any wheels and handles. If your hand luggage weighs more or is larger than this, it will need to be checked into the aircraft hold, and you may have to pay an additional charge."

Meanwhile, easyJet's rules state: "Everyone can bring one small cabin bag per person on board for free. It can be a maximum size of 45 x 36 x 20 cm (including any handles and wheels) and needs to be kept under the seat in front of you. That should be enough to bring all the essentials for your journey or for a short trip.
"Your bag can weigh up to 15kg, but we do ask that you're able to lift and carry it yourself. If you'd also like to bring a large cabin bag on board (max. 56 x 45 x 25 cm, including any handles and wheels), you have the option to book a large cabin bag for your flight. Every customer who books a large cabin bag can also enjoy the benefit of speedy boarding."
Jet2 passengers who bring an oversized bag to the airport can be charged £12 per extra kg, while easyJet charges an Airport Bag Fee of £48 for any excess luggage brought to the departure gate.
