With the K-League season having kicked off earlier this month, Lingard featured from the bench in their opening three games.

He missed his side's 1-1 draw at Gangwon on Sunday altogether after suffering a meniscus injury.

The former Old Trafford ace posted a snap of himself watching the game from home to his Instagram Story, captioning it: "Good luck boys."

He then added a short video from his apartment with a device strapped to his knee.

Lingard added a further message, which read: "In the era of loving myself more."

The South Korean is claimed to have said: "Even though he came on as a substitute, he didn't work hard and avoided tussle.

"The name value has no meaning on the pitch. I will tell him this exactly."

FC Seoul are seventh in the 12-team K-League, having won just once in their first four games.
