A lot has happened since the star-studded cast came together for Steven Spielberg's fantasy film Hook.
It's the classic 1991 film that sees an adult Peter Pan returning to Neverland and reclaiming his youthful spirit in order to challenge his old enemy Captain James Hook, who kidnaps his children. It brought together big-name actors including Robin Williams as Peter Pan, Dustin Hoffman as Captain Hook, Julia Roberts as Tinker Bell, Bob Hoskins as Mr Smee, and Maggie Smith as Granny Wendy.
Family films don't get much better than '90s classic Hook, but where are the original cast members up to now? Sadly, some of the original actors have passed.
Oscar-nominated Robin Williams appeared in Good Morning, Vietnam and Dead Poets Society before landing the part in Hook as Peter Pan and went on to take leading roles in many more box office hits. He was regarded as one of the greatest comedians of all time but was found dead at his home in August 2014 from suicide.
He had been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, and had been experiencing depression, anxiety and paranoia. He received numerous accolades including an Academy Award, two Primetime Emmy Awards, six Golden Globe Awards, five Grammy Awards, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. English actor and film director Bob Hoskins, who played Mr Smee in the 1991 film, passed away in 2014 at the age of 71.
Sarah Lancashire feared telling TV bosses about 'debilitating depression battle'Bob went on to star in Maid in Manhattan, A Christmas Carol and received the Best Actor Award at the Cannes Film Festival, the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role and the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – for his role in Mona Lisa. in 1986. Meanwhile, Dustin Hoffman who played Captain Hook has had numerous achievements which were somewhat overshadowed when in 2017 seven women accused him of sexual misconduct or assault.
A woman who was 17 at the time alleged that, while working as an intern on a TV production of Death of a Salesman, Hoffman made inappropriate jokes and comments. Hoffman released an apology to the 17-year-old intern who alleged harassment but denied any wrongdoing, Hoffman has not publicly responded to the other six allegations.
Meanwhile, director Steven Spielberg accused Julia Roberts, who played Tinker Bell, of poor behaviour during the filming of Hook after her relationship broke down with Kiefer Sutherland. The actress even gained the nickname "Tinker Hell" for her allegedly awful behavior, according to CBR.
She was only 23 years old at the time of filming and was engaged to Kiefer Sutherland, who was best known at the time for starring in The Lost Boys. The couple met on the set of the 1990 thriller Flatliners - shortly after the end of Sutherland's first marriage - and announced their engagement that August.
But during the filming of Hook, Roberts discovered Sutherland had allegedly cheated on her before their wedding with an exotic dancer. And that wasn't all. There were also allegations that Roberts had allegedly cheated on Sutherland with his best friend.
On the day of their planned wedding, Sutherland was spotted moving out of their shared home, while Roberts was in Ireland with Patric. Despite the drama, Hook proved to be a box office hit: netting an impressive $300 million worldwide.
Dame Margaret Smith, who played Granny Wendy, later won international fame for her role as Violet Crawley in the British period drama Downton Abbey and was made a Dame in the 1990 New Year Honours, for services to the performing arts.
