When you watch his mature performances on the oche, it is easy to forget that the Warrington kid is still only 17-years-old.

And like most teenagers, he loves nothing more than spending hours on his own playing video games.

Asked how he has splashed the Prem cash following his outstanding victory at the O2 Arena, Littler replied: “None of them went to Fifa points.

“But I did buy a Nintendo Switch, which I have brought away with me to have a bit of fun.

“Usually we are sat in the hotel rooms waiting for the next day to play.

“We did some sight-seeing this week. I came back, chilled out and played on the Switch.”

Littler is in New York for the US Darts Masters and has been able to see the city’s famous landmarks – he went on a boat trip with his family to see the Statue of Liberty from a distance.

For his opening-round match at Madison Square Garden, he changed his walk-on music to the theme used by WWE wrestling champion Cody Rhodes.

Littler had a dream debut in front of the US crowds as he smashed Canadian Matt Campbell 6-0 in under 10 minutes.

He said: “I felt good and couldn’t wait to get out there. The amount of the athletes that have performed here is amazing.

“I enjoyed that walk-on. The crowd got involved with it.

“It has been crazy out here. But it’s a good thing as the darts get more recognisable outside of the UK and other countries.
