Gangsters ‘call for ceasefire’ after deadly Christmas Eve pub shootingThe UFC's poster boy is currently on a self-imposed booze ban ahead of his return and insists he can switch off his desire to have a drink in an instant.
He recently told The Mac Life: “I’ve had a fair few drinks in my time.
"So I can abstain from it wholeheartedly and say, 'Yeah, it’s time to train hard and dial in.'
“I’m happy out, I’m in a great spot, not a bother on me. I’ve had a flick of a switch. I’ve always had a flick of a switch.”
McGregor's showdown with Chandler will be his first outing since breaking his left leg in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier nearly three years ago.
But he insists he'll have no reservations about throwing his once-shattered shin at the forehead of his rival Ultimate Fighter 31 coach.
In a recent interview with James Corden, he said: "I am Terminator now.
"I have a titanium rod that goes into the knee and down to the bone, right down to my ankle.
"It’s unbreakable.
"I wish for and I will work on landing this kick - with this steel bar in my leg - against an opponent and getting them out of there."
