A PREGNANT woman has snapped back at critics of her wedding guest dress.

She ignored digs at the color of her frock, saying it's unlikely she will be mistaken as a bride.

Redditor Happylemon06 posted the look on the social media platform.

"This has been my go to dress for special occasions that last few years," she said.

"I've been pregnant more times than not that last five years.

"Would this be ok for a black-tie event in February? I'll be about seven months pregnant."

CROWD REACTION

Some Redditors slammed the look, referring to the color of the dress.

"The fact it’s paired with espadrilles in the photo should tell you what you need to know," one wrote.

"Sorry, babe, but it’s too casual for black tie. It also reads very white, even though you said it’s light pink.

"I’d get a different dress, especially if this is for a wedding."

"It’s too casual and photographs white. Generally black tie is full of evening gowns," another added.

"I understand it’s more of a challenge being pregnant, but I’ve seen lots of beautiful maternity gowns that don’t break the bank."

"It’s too casual because of the color and print," a third commented on the look.

"The style could work if it were a dark color."

However not everyone was against the pregnant woman's choice in fashion.

"It's a gorgeous dress," one said.

"At seven months, you can wear anything that's comfortable. And warm/cool enough and shoes that give you solid footing.

"If anyone questions your choices, tell them your doctor insisted."

"Is it not too white?" another asked.

"Is someone going to mistake her for the bride? Come on, she's seven months pregnant," the Redditor replied.

"Is she supposed to go out and shop for a maternity evening gown she'll never wear again? With little children along?"

The original poster clearly agreed, saying she won't be mistaken for the bride.

"Well, I don't plan on being in any pictures. I don't think anyone will mistake me for a bride or think I'm trying to upstage her," she said.
