Jose Mourinho has confirmed he wants to move to Fenerbahce after the Turkish giants announced talks were underway.
Mourinho has been out of work since being sacked by Roma in January following a disappointing run of results. He is yet to find a new job since leaving the Stadio Olimpico, but appears to be on the verge of returning to the dugout.
Despite losing just one game last season and finishing as runners-up in the Turkish Super Lig, Fenerbahce are making a serious push to appoint Mourinho.
They last won the league back in 2014 and six draws over the course of the campaign saw them miss out to Galatasaray once again. Fenerbahce have now announced they have turned to Mourinho to end that horror run.
"Our company has started negotiations with Jose Mario Dos Santos Mourinho Felix for the post of Football A team coach. It is announced with respect to our investors," the club said in a statement to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP).

It is thought that Mourinho will sign a two-year deal with the Turkish side, to keep him at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium until the summer of 2026. The Portuguese boss has broken his silence on his move, confirming he is keen to head to Istanbul.
"I decided I want to go but it is not done yet. I cannot confirm officially, but yes I want to go. Hard, because we have three rounds to go in [ Champions League qualification]," he told Sky Sports ahead of Saturday's Champions League final.
"In Fenerbahce's case, eight players are in the Euros. They are not coming for pre-season before the first round so its hard. But if I go, you know I like challenges, so if I go you know we will fight hard to be in the Champions League."

Mourinho has won the Champions League at Porto and Inter Milan, lifted three Premier League titles across two spells at Chelsea, won La Liga with Real Madrid and ended Roma's trophy drought by leading them to winning the Europa Conference League in his first season in charge.
Roma finished sixth in both of Mourinho's two full seasons in charge. But he was sacked in January with the club sitting in ninth place in Serie A, though the legendary boss was fiercely critical of that decision.
He told Football.com: “I was ‘eliminated’ by someone who knows little about football. That’s life, full of ups and downs, and I’m growing, despite the unexpected and unfair dismissal. But I will return, with even more enthusiasm and confidence, for these UEFA matches.”
