Our very-own perfume expert is even a big fan of the brand, with it showing up on her Christmas list every year. The scents typically dance in the realm of gourmand - and the latest is no exception.
Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar | 42 officially launched today and it's already got a perfect five-star average rating with shoppers rushing to snap it up. The new scent is a lighter and more youthful take on the massively popular Vanilla 28.
Opening notes of this fragrance are rum, marshmallow, candied pear and vanilla cream, which are mellowed out with violet leaves and ylang-ylang, stopping it from being overpowering. The heart notes give it a fairground feel with jasmine, labdanum, white caramel, bubblegum and jellybean all making appearances.

It's got a comforting base with tonka, sandalwood and cashmere woods which are paired with vetiver, rock sugar and KAYALI Signature Accord. The final result is an undeniably sweet fragrance that is almost nostalgic and manages to avoid crossing the line into sickly.

I got the bubblegum on initial spray but the dry down definitely gave way to the vanilla and smooth sandalwood. I would describe it as Wedding Silk Santal’s daughter. She’s young, but pretty and sophisticated."

It's sweet and nostalgic, it reminded me of going to the fairground as a child to buy sugary rock candy - I guess that's the point. If you like sweeter scents then it's a great option, it feels light and not at all creamy which is typically seen in these types of perfumes. I think it's great for the warmer months."
