Greg Rutherford has revealed he was left "shaken" after a horrific incident at his home.
The retired British track and field Olympic medallist shared footage of the aftermath of the disturbing event, pointing out how his kids were perilously close to injury from the falling glass shards. His living room was strewn with glass fragments, pieces spread all over the sofa and scattered across the floor surrounding it.
As he showed off the video, Dancing On Ice star Greg described the event saying: "One of the most terrifying experiences - one of our skylights up here just exploded - just, literally, me standing in the kitchen watching the TV on the wall, and it just went - bang! And glass went everywhere."
Dad-of-three, Greg continued narrating that his eight-year-old lad, Milo, was sitting beneath that very skylight doing his homework just moments before the glass broke. He reminisced: "I kid you not, two minutes before, Milo was down here doing some school work, and I said, 'it's a nice day, go out on the deck, mate'."

I have no idea if it's the sun that's heated it up, and it's happened, or if something like this happens. I cannot explain to you how terrifying..." He further shared that he was within striking distance of the shattered glass, saying, "I've been walking in and out because I've been trying to tidy up today, I've walked past this 50 times in the last half an hour.

"I don't know," uttered a despondent Greg before informing his followers: "What a harrowing thing to happen." Following this, Greg posted a chilling photo on his Instagram story showing the extent of the damage, zooming in on the sofa, where moments before, his children had been seated.
Captioning the haunting snap, he wrote: "The kids were sat just here before. Can't stop shaking!" The horrific incident comes just days after Greg revealed he had to rush his son Rex, six, to hospital after losing "tonnes of blood". The red-headed sportsman told fans: "Not exactly how I expected to spend my evening," before sharing a snap of Rex's injury.
He added: "Young Rexy took on the door frame and lost... a ton of blood and some tears later we're in A&E hoping his new head mouth can be closed soon. One minute I'm stressing about a silly ice dance, the next mopping up blood and taking young Rexy to hospital. Perspective is key," before thanking the NHS at his local hospital.
