Vivianne Miedema, Sabrina D’Angelo and Kaylan Marckese will leave Arsenal upon the expiration of their contracts.

Arsenal Women confirmed their list of players to be released upon the expiration of their contracts on Tuesday morning, with striker Miedema and goalkeepers D'Angelo and Marckese to depart at the end of the month.

Netherlands international Miedema, 27, confirmed that she would be departing the club last month, a decision which has incurred significant backlash from pockets of Arsenal's fanbase.

The striker joined Arsenal from Bayern Munich in 2017 and helped the club win the league in 2018-19 while setting the record for scoring the most goals (22) in a Women's Super League campaign while also becoming the WSL's record goal-scorer.

At Miedema's final match for the Gunners, fans held up signs demanding that the club dispose of manager Jonas Eidevall while keeping hold of the forward, who has 79 WSL goals to her name.

Last week, Miedema said she will make a decision on her future during her upcoming holiday, adding that the last few weeks have taken an emotional toll on her.

D'Angelo and Marckese join Miedema in departing the club this summer.

D'Angelo, 31, joined Arsenal in January 2023 from Vittsjö GIK. Marckese, 26, joined in the summer of 2022, with the American going out on loan to WSL rivals Bristol City last season.

Both goalkeepers struggled to break into Arsenal's first-team squad, where Eidevall prefers Manuela Zinsbeger.
