A CHILD eager for pocket money took his uncle's instructions to clean his sports car 'inside and out' too literally - JET WASHING his seats and electric dashboard.

Ally Law says eight-year-old Campbell offered to wash his Mini Cooper Sport for £10 while he visited the schoolboy's house in Southampton, Hampshire.

The 27-year-old was shocked to return and find his nephew spraying his dad's jet wash inside the car and drenching the leather interior.

Viral footage shows panicked Ally rush over and ask what he's doing but his nephew innocently says: "I'm washing the car, that's what you told me to do."

Ally says "you're joking me" as he pans the camera through the drenched Mini, showing the soaked front seats with soap suds on them.

The wheel and electric dashboard can be seen dripping, and soapy water is pooled in the back of the car.

Campbell explains "I cleaned it inside and out" before cheekily saying "I'm still going to need my tenner", which Ally initially refuses because he'd "wrecked the car".

He reluctantly pays him £20 then convinces the kid to rub the car, which he bought for £1,350 six months ago, dry with a towel.

Ally says the car does start and the dashboard works but the electric windows are too water damaged to function.

He's since admitted the "nightmare" has taught him to "be more specific" with instructions and to think twice before letting Campbell clean his car again.

His video has been viewed more than 2.7million times with amused users praising Campbell for "doing what he was told" and Ally for staying so calm.

Ally, from Southampton, Hampshire, said: "I told him to clean it inside and out and assumed he'd know, but now I've learned I need to be much more specific with kids.

"He's a little hustler and loves making money and he offered to clean my car for £10.

"I had only been gone a few minutes then I could see him spraying the inside so then I started filming.

"I just thought 'what a nightmare' and thought I'd have to scrap it.

"He was really chilled about it and still wanted his money. Cheeky.

"Luckily it's dried out quite nicely but the window needs to be looked at because it won't open. He sprayed all the electricity at the front.

"At least the chairs were clean though.

"It was my fault so I'll accept some responsibility but he's banned from cleaning it now. I'll take it to a car wash next time."

Ally says he's lucky it was a sunny day as he was able to leave the doors open for it to dry out.

His video - which shows the incident a fortnight ago (April 18) - has earned more than 4,700 comments and 32,000 likes.

One commented: "Well it's definitely clean inside and out. I'm impressed you stayed so calm. He definitely deserves his money. He did what he was asked."

A second said: "Bless him he was only doing what he thought was right. Gotta love children for their vulnerability and innocence."

A third joked: "At least your car is super clean now."
