Popular TV app adds 8 new live channels including sports and a movie boost

MILLIONS of households will be able to watch eight new live channels, including three sports stations and two channels for the kids.

Samsung TV Plus has announced it is bolstering its free ad-supported streaming offering this week which also includes a three-strong movie boost.

The new Formula 1 Channel will be available this month, allowing fans to catch up on all the action from F1, F2, F3 and F1 Academy races.

It will also feature analysis, replays and documentaries.

NBC Sports and PGA Tour will also land on TV screens free of charge with all the highlights, recaps and updates while the American Crimes channel will keep true-crime fans entertained.

For the kids, Samsung TV Plus is hosting BBC Kids which airs popular shows like Hey Duggee, Horrible Histories, Andy’s Dinosaur Adventures and MI High.

The tech giant is also rolling out an all-new Ocean Vibes channel, designed specifically for relaxation.

Alongside the eight new channels, Samsung has unveiled the three free movies that will be available on the app for free all month: Letters to Juliet, Gladiator and The Groomsmen.
