Celebrating that they “cured” strawberry legs, they said many people often struggle with purple or red spots on their bodies.
“Mine resulted from several years of laser hair removal that damaged my pores and left little clogged bumps all over the thinner skin on my shins and tops of my thighs,” wrote Woodenornaments in Reddit’s 30 Plus Skincare forum.
“I started by using Amlactin Intensive three times week to help with the texture.

“This helped even out the color once my skin was all the same texture.”
The Redditor said they achieved impressive results within three months of consistently using their DIY treatment.
AmLactin Intensive Healing Body Lotion has a 4.3-star rating and Lubriderm Daily Moisture Hydrating Body Lotion has a 4.7-star rating out of a possible 5 at Target.
Each product costs less than $15.
The beauty fan advised anyone considering the strawberry legs treatment to be cautious when they use the products.
“Be aware that both Amlactin and tret cause sun sensitivity as we go into summer, so this is not a good routine for people who like to sunbathe,” they said.
“I also use a mesh bath towel to exfoliate because the tret can cause some ashy skin.
“It’s important to moisturize on the days that there is no active treatment. Hopes this helps!”

According to Healthline, strawberry legs can be caused by various conditions including improper shaving, clogged pores, and overly dry skin.
The term describes the “pitted” appearance of the dark spots or pores on the skin.
Home remedies can be useful for managing strawberry legs but those with darker skin pigmentation or recurring experiences may need a doctor’s treatment.
