MMA prospect Sammy-Jo Luxton is currently in the hospital battling sepsis.
The Manchester Top Team star was set to make her eagerly-anticipated Professional Fighters League debut in Newcastle on Saturday night.

But 'The Ghetto Cinderella' has been forced to withdraw from the card and the PFL's lucrative European women's featherweight tournament with a deadly bout of sepsis.
Luxton revealed her hospitalisation on her X and Instagram pages, sharing snaps of herself unwell in her bed.

"I underwent emergency surgery in April. It’s since become infected, spread to my kidneys and I now have sepsis.
"I have been in hospital since 28th May with my temperature hitting 41 degrees putting me into seizure-like states.
"Not much I can say really, just gutted beyond belief."
Scores of the former kickboxer's followers sent her well wishes, with one saying: "Sorry to hear that Sammy, hoping you have a quick recovery.

Doctors have placed Luxton on "industrial-strength" antibiotics to fight off the deadly effects of the condition.

"That strength took three days for my body to react to."
Luxton is itching to compete under the PFL banner, although she's currently focused solely on getting better at this moment in time.
She said: "[It's] too early to say [when I'll be back], they don't even know when I'll be able to leave the hospital right now.
"So I don't know what my recovery will look like."
