A WOMAN has left people in shock after revealing the name her friend gave her adopted daughter.
One person said that they are glad their country has laws which means that calling a child the name would be illegal.

After adopting the child they decided to give her the incredibly unusual name, ABCDE.
The woman revealed that the name is supposed to be pronounced "absidy", which is in itself a rather unique moniker.

The woman said: "I have a family friend (they are friends with my parents) and they named their adopted daughter "ABCDE" and their last names conveniently starts with an "F".
The little girl's name is supposed to sound like 'absidy'.
"I can't help but feel bad for the poor baby she's not much older than 4 or 5."
The name sent Reddit viewers into a frenzy, and people raced to the comments section to share their thoughts.
One person said: "It makes me so happy that I was born and raised in Germany where names like this are actually illegal".
A second person joked: "Meet my daughter, Abcde, and my son, Qwerty."
A third said: "I used to work in a pharmacy and someone's first name was pronounced Noelle.
"It was spelled 'JKMNO' because there's 'No L' and I wish I was joking".
