BECKY HILL has grafted to become one of the most successful British dance acts in years after first appearing on The Voice UK in 2012.
But a bumper 24 months, which has included two Brit Awards, an Ibiza residency and countless hit singles, has come at a cost.
Becky Hill reveals a chaotic schedule has led to her postponing her weddingBecky Hill and Charlie Gardner have pushed back their wedding so they can still organise it togetherBecky has had to postpone her wedding to long-term partner Charlie Gardner after her schedule exploded with gigs on both sides of the Atlantic.
Speaking as her second album, Believe Me Now?, is on track to become the biggest of her career and debut at No4 on Friday, Becky said: “I was planning to get married this year but it is just too crazy.
“I have turned 30, I am releasing an album and I have an arena tour.
From tongue scraping to saying no, here are 12 health trends to try in 2023“I am going to America in October.
“My partner offered to organise the wedding but I want to be involved in the process, so we have decided to push it back a year.
“He wasn’t too happy but it is the right thing to do.
“I didn’t want it to be really stressful.
“I know all weddings are stressful but I really wanted to make sure we enjoyed the planning and did it together.”
Becky and Charlie announced their engagement in January 2022 after he popped the question in the Maldives.
And on new album ballad Man Of My Dreams, Becky gushes over finding The One.
She sings: “Now we’re connected, I’m never gonna let you go.
“You drew a heart in the sand and you got down on one knee.
“Now the uncertainty is over.
How to de-clutter if you have a beauty stash to last you a lifetime“I will spend my days with the man of my dreams.”
Becky said: “My partner used to be a trance DJ and is now a festival booker.
“He has helped not only with the inspiration for me to write the album but also then bringing the album to life.
“One of the things that attracted me to him was my Spotify playlist.
“I had all the big dance bangers from the Noughties and all the tunes he used to play.”
Becky wrote all 15 tracks on the new record but says she feared taking time out to travel the world after her second album left her worrying if she had lost her touch.
She said: “I wondered if I could still write music.
“When you tour and play festivals for so long you think ‘s, can I still do this’?
“I am constantly travelling around.
“I get really overwhelmed in airports.
“I need to be really mindful of my health because you are constantly on the go as an artist.
“Airport food is s**t and sleeping on planes isn’t real sleep.”
Just thinking about your schedule makes me tired Becky, but take it from me, you’re killing it.
