Woman dies after 'losing her footing and falling from cliffs' at tourist spot

A young woman in her 20s has died after falling from the Cliffs of Moher in Co Clare, Ireland.

The heartbreaking incident happened at the popular visitor attraction on Saturday afternoon, police confirmed. It's believed the woman, aged in her early 20s, lost her footing while walking and fell.

The incident is being treated as a tragic accident. Gardai said the woman's body has been recovered from the water.

A Garda spokesman said: "Gardai and emergency services conducted an operation following reports of an incident at the Cliffs Moher this afternoon."

"The body of a woman, aged in her early 20s, was removed from the water by emergency services."
