Steveson started his career as a star wrestler in college, capturing multiple championships in the NCAA.

He won first place at the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships in 2021 and 2022.

He also earned first place at the Big Ten Championships in 2020, 2021, and 2022.

Steveson's talents extended to the global stage, and he went on to represent the US in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

There he won the gold medal, instantly qualifying him for further events on the US wrestling team.

However, Steveson declined those qualifications to move on to a new stage in his career.

Steveson hinted before the 2020 Olympics that he had a dream to be a WWE superstar "since I was a kid."

That dream would come true, as he made his first appearance at WWE's SummerSlam in 2021.

He would sign a contract with WWE in September of 2021, and WWE star Mr. Kennedy later confirmed he was training the Olympian.

By joining WWE, Steveson became the second Olympian to sign with the company after the legendary Kurt Angle, so he had big shoes to fill.

Steveson's WWE career officially began in October of 2021 when he was drafted to the Raw brand in the WWE Draft.

His first appearance in the ring took place at WrestleMania 38 in April 2022.

Steveson later debuted in the NXT series at The Great American Bash show and continued to wrestle in the series at the beginning of this year.
