She revealed in the post that she used to have bad body odor no matter what deodorant or antiperspirant she used.
She even tried the extra-strength antiperspirants with multiple applications a day.
I love flaunting my curves & it's not for the likes from men"I tried supplements, dietary changes, stress reduction, even weird Chinese herbal teas from a TCM naturopath and none of it made a difference," she added.
"Now I'm using an all-natural deodorant once a day and I barely smell. I can't recommend this enough."
She learned from another Redditor that the key to rectifying it is to wash with salicylic acid.
"Salicylic acid is a beta-hydroxy acid that can be transformational for underarm care," according to the skincare brand Saltair.
It can double as a natural deodorant thanks to its exfoliating properties.
"It can help reduce odor while exfoliating and brightening the skin at the same time for smoother underarms," the brand explained.
Salicylic acid also removes dead skin cells, which helps minimize ingrown hairs.
The Redditor uses the Cetaphil Gentle Salicylic Acid Cleanser, which can be found on Amazon for $11.99.
She uses the "amazing solution" in the shower and lets it sit while she stands outside of the water.
"I said it before and I'll say it again, totally life-changing," she wrote.
Woman reveals the reason why your body looks different in every changing roomLeave it on for about five to ten minutes and then rinse it off well.
The thick cream gives her a "good lather" and "good coverage," and it stays where she puts it.
"Now the BO is gone and I smell the best I've ever smelt," she added.
When she first started the cleansing method, she lathered her whole body with it.
She also uses it daily when it's hot and humid in the summer.
But for general maintenance or when it's cold during the winter, she'll do it once a week.
Her proven results are why she felt the need to "spread the word" to other female friends who complain about body odor.
She wants everyone to benefit from the advice.
Other Redditors agreed that it was an asset to their skincare routine.
"THIS WAS A GAME CHANGER FOR ME! I wished I knew this technique back in high school and college!!!" one wrote.
"I really like the Neutrogena Body Clear or Truly Cherry Scented Bacne cleanser," another wrote.
