Arjen Robben was present in the Manchester City dressing room after their 5-1 victory over Wolves.

Erling Haaland scored four and Julian Alvarez added the other as City moved back to within a point of leaders Arsenal in the Premier League title race. It was their sixth successive top-flight victory - a run in which they have scored 24 goals as they maintain their push for a fourth title in a row.

And some football icons were present at the match, according to the Daily Mail. David Silva returned to the Etihad for the first time since his departure in July 2020, after the former City midfielder left without a proper farewell due to the Covid-19 pandemic. He was there alongside his family.

Silva was not the only great in attendance, though, with Robben down in the City dressing room after another impressive win. Robben, who played under Pep Guardiola at Bayern Munich, secured himself a ticket to watch City in action and was invited to meet the squad after the full-time whistle.

Robben, once laughing at how Guardiola used to call him at all hours to discuss work, congratulated City on dispatching Wolves and encouraged them to maintain the pressure on Arsenal. As well as Bayern, Robben represented Chelsea, Real Madrid, PSV and Groningen during his career.

The Etihad was not the only footballing venue Robben visited during his trip to the UK this weekend, though. Pictures emerged on social media of the Dutchman in the players' area at Anfield, alongside former Bayern team-mate Thiago Alcantara. He witnessed Liverpool beat Tottenham 4-2.

As for City, they require a minimum of three more victories in their remaining matches to secure the title for the fourth successive season. Reflecting on the win over Wolves and the title race, Guardiola said: "The biggest importance is just two weeks left. Three games. Nine points we will be champions.

"[If we earn only] seven points, six points, three points, Arsenal will win the Premier League. Goal difference is not possible, we cannot draw. The way Arsenal have been playing has been so good and consistent.

"It's three games, hopefully we win the first and the second and arrive to the third with our Premier League destiny in our own hands. You see the result 5-1 [today] but I don't have the feeling that was really good.

"We lost a lot of balls, simple ones. With teams that make high pressing we can run with Phil [Foden], Kevin [De Bruyne], Julian [Alvarez]. I give a lot of credit to Wolves, the patterns they have. Hwang [Hee-chan], [Matheus] Cunha were always dangerous."
