In his viral video, a TikToker known as the Turf Badger (@turfbadgernation) broke down the easy trick to a crisp lawn line.

The lawn pro explained that most people tend to use the wrong tool when edging their grass.

According to the expert, homeowners are often guilty of trying to use a weed wacker to finish the sides of their lawns.

"The weed wacker uses string and when you try to use a string against concrete it eats through and trashes the string," he said.

Instead, he recommended using an edger, an attachment for your weed wacker.

He explained that this tool uses a metal blade, which "puts a clean line for an edge."

Edger equipment is available from most home improvement stores and online.

The Sunseeker Wild Badger Power Edger is currently available for $64.07 from Amazon.

The Turf Badger used his own attachment to demonstrate the clean finish for his followers.

TikTok users shared their thoughts on the recommendation in the comments section.

"A string trimmer cleans it up better [but] an edger gets the dirt and rocks out," pointed out one viewer.

"Edgers for defining the edge initially in the season. But [your lawn] can be flip-edged by a string trimmer to save time throughout the summer," said another follower.

"Edger for the first time, flip-edge for the rest of the season," agreed one person.

"It is indeed what I use to edge sidewalks for apartment complexes, it takes too long to switch," said a fourth TikTok user.

"You can use the edger first then afterward [use] the line trimmer to keep it up," suggested another viewer.

"It’s good to use if the edge doesn’t have an edge at first," pointed out one person.

"You’re the smartest man alive. My big hero!" wrote another follower.

"Only use the edger for overgrown not for cleaning up the line," said one viewer.

"I'm glad you mentioned that because I go through so much string trying to edge with my weed wacker," commented another TikToker.

"Hard edge once. Then the rest of the season your weed eater! So simple!" wrote another person.
