Philo's website said it was delighted to offer new channels.
"Five more channels are now available to all users on Philo," the streaming service announced yesterday.
"With a dynamic mix of cooking, nature, science and exploration content, these channels are now available to watch.
"These channels have been added to Philo’s core line-up, as well as to Philo’s library of 70+ free channels now offered to all users."
These range from reality to music, news to classic TV, with additional free channels to be offered "over time."
Just a few days ago, the service said it wanted to offer "amazing value for our subscribers."
"What’s new is that users will now be able to sign up to watch and record a majority of free channels without being a core subscriber or providing a credit card," said Andrew McCollum, Philo CEO.
