A cutting five-word response from darts sensation Luke Littler to a fan has shown volumes about the young and upcoming star's attitude to his sport.
The Warrington-born player is set to skip out on the Nordic Darts Masters, taking place in Copenhagen in Denmark, in order to take some rest time for himself. In a cheeky reply to a young fan on a Facebook post, Littler is showing no signs that he will stop his current domination of the sport following his holiday in Orlando.
Littler is fresh off of his victory over Luke Humphries in the Premier League Darts final, and has decided to take some time out for a hard-earned rest in Orlando, Florida.
The PDC posted the draw for the tournament across their social media platforms this week, with one fan commenting their controversial opinion on the Facebook page. The fan, who had clearly began to feel some frustration with Littler's popularity increase in darts, said: "Another tournament I can enjoy without a certain person being mentioned all the time!''
The darts star saw this comment, much to the fan's surprise, and hit back with a hilarious response that shows a statement of his intent in the sport following his break.
Gerwyn Price left red-faced after wearing ear defenders to block fans outLittler replied: "Enjoy it while you can", alongside a side-eye emoji, with this slightly snarky remark showcasing his intentions for the near future.
The darts star has had an incredible six months in the sport, rising to fame at the World Championship where he cruised through to the final and was unfortunate to lose to Humphries.
The 17-year-old earned his place in Premier League Darts thanks to his successes. And despite a busy schedule, he exacted his revenge on Humphries last month in the play-off final at the O2 Arena.
Littler's schedule has been packed following the World Championship last winter, which has prompted him to take some time out to rest both physically and mentally in the meantime.
The teen told his manager that he needed some time off in order to recuperate, stating last week: "Next week we're going to Orlando. There's a competition at the weekend, but I just said to my manager, 'Can I have the week off, [I] don't want to play, [Id' rather] go on holiday'."
Following his road to the World Championship final last year, Littler has continued his successes by winning the Bahrain Darts Masters at the beginning of this year. The teen has since won more titles in Belgium and Austria to add to his Premier League victory.
